Performance on stage comprise many aspects of variable nature. At times as an anchor, I need to host the entire show, start to finish - covering up everything, bridging the gaps in a masterly manner. In the process I gain the faith of the organizers, boost the morale of all the participating artistes and be extremely pleasant and friendly to the audience as I try to impart the feeling that I’m an artiste alright, but also I'm the one very close to them. This admiration develops spontaneously. What can be a more precious prize! This may sound very simple but to reach to this height is truly, extremely difficult.
While I’m a compere, I need to have a very strong grip on the entire proceedings. When reciting poems, I have limited time, so precise choice and perfect deliberation, all need to be fine-tuned to reach the heart of the audience.
Most coveted and prestigious programs of the State Govt. that involves the top notch dignitaries, experts, politicians, ministers and programs organized by NGOs as well as numerous sports and cultural associations have been conducted by me in and outside West Bengal.
President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam appreciated me directly right on the stage during one such proceedings. 
Jyoti Bosu, the political doyen was felicitated by all the national leaders of political parties jointly at the Yuvabharati Krirangan. I was the anchor.
The TIME-BALL came down at the Eden Gardens - a replica of Times Square, New York - as the clock struck 12, to mark the beginning of a new millennium, 2000 - I was the anchor.
